Today, I start my blog with the background knowledge of losing 185 pounds. It has been a rough journey over the past few years. In the beginning the weight seemed to fly off me. However, people do have setbacks. "The best thing you can do with a setback is to turn it into a comeback."
Please check in on a regular basis to hear my thoughts and advice.
1st week of january
Wow this has been one of the toughest but most rewarding weeks EVER. I was very sick this past week with bronchitis...thats the bad news...however I am getting better and got back to the gym today after missing a few days, (DR's orders). Now here is the good news....I had in interview with Hersam Acorn newspapers who publish newspapers for the majority of the towns in CT. I am going to be featured on the front page for the health & fitness section for this month. I am beyond blessed and humbled to have been given this opportunity. I wasnt nothing more than to get my story out and change lives. As cliche as it might sound, I want to make a difference. Obesity has become such an issue in this country, and even though I am not at my goal weight, and I have a far way to go, I have come so far. I started at 400 lbs, and to be almost half that body weight is incredible. and do think I did this without weight loss surgeries or diet pills. I put in so much hard work and it is so amazing and gratifying to see it being acknowledged. I hope atleast one person reads that article and decides not to give up. I always say that to me success is changing lives. whether it be 1 life of 100 or 1 million. I need people to see it is possible. It is never too late to change you lifestyle.
Also, I was contacted this week by a magazine (not naming it yet) to be feautured. doors are opening left and right, and it feels so good that is finally happen. I finally have the opportunity to reach out to people, to get my story out there.
